Panama and South Korea Sign Treaty

Panama and South Korea have signed a double taxation avoidance treaty and the two countries are negotiating a free trade agreement.

Besides South Korea, Panama has signed double taxation avoidance treaties with Singapore, Luxembourg, Mexico, Spain, Qatar, Barbados, Portugal and the Netherlands, while officials have negotiated with Italy, Belgium, France and Ireland.

The administrator of the Panama Marine Authority also signed an agreement of understanding with the Port of Busan, the fifth-largest port in the world.
