Peru and Panama to Launch Free Trade Negotiations |
The governments of Peru and Panama have agreed to begin negotiations for a possible Free Trade Agreement between the two nations.
Trade between Peru and Panama peaked in 2008 with a record high of US$980-million, while Panama sent more than US$1-billion worth of goods to Peru.
Currently Peru exports approximately US$60-million worth of products to Panama, with Panama sending roughly US$1-million to Peru.
